  • In fact, the key to making candles is the materials that go into them. What you need to prepare

  • Soy wax for candle making

  • The wick (the part you need for the candle to burn smoothly).

  • A bottle of perfume (see above to determine which perfume is best for you.

Directions for use

  1. Measure the amount of wax you want to put in the pot and double it. This is the amount of wax you want to soften.

  2. Put the wax in a pot and bring it to a boil. Stir constantly. This will take 10 to 25 hours.

  3. Add the flavouring of your choice. Look on the back of the wax package to see how much is in it. Don't forget to stir.

  4. Apply some melted wax to the bottom of the wick, and attach it to the bottom of the bottle. Let it harder for 5 minutes.

  5. Let the remaining wax cool for a few minutes until the thermometer reads 140 degrees.

  6. Pour most of the wax into the bottle. Attach the wick.

  7. Use a stick or pencil to make sure the wick is secure.

  8. let the wax set at room temperature for 4 hours.

  9. add the rest of the wax and lower the wick to the desired size as it hardens.

To add strength to your own creations, you can also use the following candle making techniques


  • Flower petals. Add dried flower petals before adding the wax to make the designs more vibrant.


  • Coloured pencils. These art supplies can be used to paint candles. Soften them with soy wax. You'll need about 12 to 15 crayons for the bright colours.
